Last update: April 2008

  • With 20% of the global market (35% in some countries) and a presence in some 40 countries, Danone leads the fresh dairy product market.

In 2007 the 12.2% growth posted by the Fresh Dairy Product line attested its continuing capacity to innovate and push back frontiers for its flagship brands. Business was also more profitable, with trading operating income growing from 13.7% to 14% despite a steep hike in raw material prices.

Danone uses a staggering four billion litres of milk each and every year - almost 1% of the world's total output. So you might be surprised to discover that we take the time to work with each individual farmer, paying particular attention to carefully balancing our quality criteria with their profitability.
